|Measurements||Approc Size 8 (See Below)|
Measurements: 15" long from waist to end of skirt, approx. 30" around at the hips (measured after washing-with a cloth measuring tape held around skirt). Waist is made to fit my daughter. I cut and sewed the elastic to fit her waist and then crocheted it on to the skirt.
Row 1: Ch 99, sc in 2nd st from the hook and sc in each st across. Sl st tog to form a ring-be careful not to twist chain. Ch 1, dc in same st, *skip 1st, sc, dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st to the first ch 1.
Row 2: Ch 1, dc in same st, in each sc from previous row, work sc,dc. Repeat this around, sl st to the first ch 1.
Row 3-37: Repeat Row 2.
Row 38: Edging: *Ch 3, skip 1 st, sc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st to first st of ch 3.
Row 39: Edging: Sl st over to ch 3 sp, ch 3, *skip over to next ch 3 sp and sc. Repeat from * around. Fasten off and weave in ends.
I use elastic on all my daughter’s clothes. So I take the ¼ inch elastic, measure it to my daughter and cut. Then I sew the one end into a circle. Then I sc the elastic to the first row of the skirt. Fasten off and weave in ends. Here's a tutorial on how I do this. click here
