These pictures are the original pictures from the first website I had. Because I gave some items as gifts or no longer have some items or for other reasons are not able to redo the pictures with my new website’s name. Please excuse these pictures and the wrong website name; thank you!
Materials Used | approx. 8 or 9 oz worsted weight yarn. I used Red Heart Leddie variegated yarn. |
Hook Size | I |
Measurements | girls approx. 4T/4 |
Notes | If you need it bigger, try using a bigger hook. If you need it smaller, try using a smaller hook. |
Bodice part (make 2)
Ch 45.
Row 1: Hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook, hdc across in every stitch. Row 2: Ch 2, turn. Hdc in next stitch. Hdc across in every stitch.
Row 3 -27: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off and weave in ends on first rectangle.
Second Rectangle…do not fasten off. Turn the rectangles vertically. So we you look at it…the short ends are on the top and bottom and the long ends are on the sides. Now sl st the side together. Fasten off. Sl st the other side together. Do not fasten off. Turn the bodice inside out, so now the sl stitches are hidden. With the yarn still attached, start working around the tube making shells. I made it so the shells would gently wave, but not curl. I used the 2dc, ch2, 2dc. The next row you make shells in the ch 2 space. I did 13 rows of shells around.
Straps (make 2)
Ch 25, hdc in 3rd ch from the hook. Hdc across. Row 2: Ch 2, turn. Hdc across. Row 3: Repeat row 2.
I sewed the straps on.
