Materials Used 2 skeins of Simply Soft
Hook Size  J
Measurements Newborn size 19 1/2" This stretches.
For premie: I would suggest to use a "I" hook
Notes Hold 2 strands at once.
 

Row 1: Ch 37, 2hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each st across, work 6hdc in last st, turn.  Hdc down other side of ch in each st, work 3hdc in beg st, sl st tog.

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in each same st, 2hdc in next 2sts, hdc in next 32sts, 2hdc in next 2sts, hdc, 2hdc in next 2sts, hdc in the next 32sts, 2hdc in next 2sts, sl st tog to beg 1st hdc.

Row 3: Ch 2, hdc in each same st, 2hdc in next 3sts, hdc in next 33sts, 2hdc in next 3sts, hdc, 2hdc in next 3sts, hdc in the next 33sts, 2hdc in next 3sts, sl st tog to beg 1st hdc.

Row 4: Ch 3,dc-ch2-2dc all in the same st. *Skip 3 sts, 2dc-ch2-2dc in next st. Rep from * to the end.  At the end, you will have to skip only 2 to get it to come out right. Sl st tog.

Row 5: Sl st to ch 2 sp from previous row, Ch 3,dc-ch2-2dc all in the same st. *Skip over to next group and work 2dc-ch2-2dc. Rep from * around, sl st tog.

Row 6: Sl st to ch 2 sp from previous row, Ch 3,dc-ch2-2dc all in the same st. *Skip over to next group and work 2dc-ch2-2dc. Rep from * around to last group, work a dec dc in that group then sl st tog.

Rows 7-9: Rep Row 5.

Row10: Ch 1, sc in next st. Sc around, work on 1sc in the ch2 sp from previous row. Sl st tog. Fasten off and weave in ends.
