Materials Used

small amount of Thick bulky yarn (I used thrift store yarn with no wrapper)

Hook Size

32" long and 4" wide plus ruffled edging

.I'm plus-size so I made this bigger.  You could use a smaller hook to make it smaller.  My daughter is modeling it so it's bigger on her

I saw a picture of a short scarf that just went around someone's neck.  I thought that was a cool idea and came up with this pattern.  I know that black doesn't photograph well, but that's the color I wanted as this is for me.

Row 1: Ch 72, dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 2, dc in same st, *skip 2 sts, 2dc-ch2-dc in the next st.  Repeat from * to the end.  Ch 2 and turn.

Row 2: 2dc-ch2-dc under ch 2 sp from previous row.  2dc-ch2-dc under each ch 2 sp across.  End with dc in top of turning ch.  Ch 2, turn.

Row 3: Repeat Row 2.

Row 4: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attach yarn to beginning ch, ch 6 and sc in next st.  Repeat this across.  Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sew on 1 1/2" button where you would like it.
